The head of the High Qualification Commission of Judges, Roman Ihnatov, has resigned, judicial outlet Graty reported on March 27.

The HQCJ granted his resignation during a meeting on March 27. Ihnatov himself said that he submitted his resignation letter on March 25 without any outside influence.

“This is my decision, which was gradually formed and on March 25 found its conclusion in the form of a notice,” he said.

Ihnatov has been the head of the HQCJ for less than nine months. Prior to that, he was a judge of the Kyiv Court of Appeal and will return there after his dismissal.

The HQCJ working group also found no confirmation of this information.
