But instead of offering up thoughts and prayers for those losing their homes and businesses, the Grown Ups actor was more focused on naming those he believes to be at fault for the situation.

Among a series of several all-caps messages shared to X (formerly Twitter), Schneider, 61, took to the social media platform on Wednesday, Jan. 8 to call out State Farm while he accused the insurance company of canceling policies for Californians.

"F# K YOU ⁦@StateFarm SCREW YOU AND ALL YOUR PHONEY COMMERCIALS!!" he wrote. "YOU ARE A PILE OF CRAP FOR CANCELING INSURANCE POLICIES OF CALIFORNIANS! I WILL NEVER USE @StateFarm INSURANCE EVER AGAIN!"

But Schneider's message was flagged by X readers and updated to include more "context" regarding his claims.

The additional information shed more light on the State Farm situation, revealing that the canceled insurance policies for Californians aren't exactly what they seem to be.

"California lawmakers have imposed price controls on insurance companies in the state," the added context clarified, citing an article from the Wall Street Journal. "This makes it impossible for insurers to price coverage accurately. The result is, insurance companies are leaving the state."

"Pointing the finger at the wrong people," someone else responded directly to Schneider's impassioned message, while another person told the comedian, "Whoa. Slow down."

"Put the blame where it belongs, on the politicians," that same user added.

"Thank you @CommunityNotes," someone else wrote.

Schneider also reposted a message that criticized the state leaders and the fire department in California, to which he replied, "My goodness… What terrible decisions that were made."
