The riot squad has broken into a western Sydney home to arrest a man after a woman reporting domestic violence was found with broken ribs.
Police were called to help the 22-year-old woman at South Penrith about 11am on Tuesday after she reported being assaulted at a nearby property by a man known to her.
She was taken to Nepean Hospital where she remains in a stable condition with broken ribs.
The Public Order and Riot Squad were then sent to a home on Gamenya Avenue, South Penrith, where they broke down the door and arrested a 34-year-old man.
He was charged with common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and stalking offences.
He was refused bail and will appear at Penrith Local Court on Wednesday.
Another man, 26, was wrestled to the ground at the property after failing to comply with instructions, with officers using a taser to subdue him.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital with head injuries.
Another man, 25, was arrested at the scene and charged with drug possession.
He will appear at Penrith Local Court on May 24.
