Revealed: Exactly how many votes Kanye West got in US election

Rapper Kanye West might have conceded the 2020 US Presidential election but how many votes did he actually get?

The election remains on a knife edge between President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

But unfortunately for fans of Kanye he didn’t exactly get the results he was after.

In Vermont, Kanye has so far received just 1,255 votes of the 88 per cent counted, according to data from The Associated Press.

That’s 0.3 per cent of the vote. By comparison, Biden, who’s projected to win Vermont, has more than 240,000 votes counting for 66.5 per cent.

The rapper had a similar performance in the US state of Arkansas, which looks like it will be claimed by Trump at this stage, with 4,040 votes at 0.3 per cent.

Ninety-two per cent of Arkansas’ vote has been been counted. In Tennessee, West got more than 10,000 votes but unfortunately that only counts for about the same percentage.

Trump has already received more than 1.8 million votes from Tennessee, which he is also expected to win.

This is, of course, another preliminary tally. That being said – it’s 96 per cent counted with West left with no hope for a win in Tennessee.

Other states including Minnesota and Louisiana saw him receive about the same support from voters.

The rapper earlier tweeted “Welp” with a picture of him walking past a map of the US signalling he had conceded he won’t be taking residence in the White House anytime soon.

If his tweet is anything to go by it’s not the last time the rapper will appear on ballot papers either as he signed off with “Kanye 2024”.

West also revealed he voted for the first time in his life during this election and it was for the “only person” he trusts.

He later said that person was actually himself.
