Restaurant staff made sure a woman was made to feel special on Mother’s Day after her son failed to call her.
Barbara Foy decided to go out and eat by herself at a Ruby Tuesday restaurant in South Carolina in the US for Mother’s Day because she was feeling down.
However, much to Ms Foy’s surprise, when staff at the restaurant realised she was a mother and was alone on every mum’s special day, they all made sure they did what they could to make her day special.
They all pitched in to make her a gift basket filled with goodies and her lunch was also paid for. A customer also brought her a rose.
“I really felt like I was queen for a day… mother for a day!” Ms Foy told WMBF News. “I’ve never been made to feel so special.”

General Manager Lauren Nave said staff were so touched by her story.
“I think we were all almost in tears by the end of the story,” Ms Nave said.
“We wanted to make sure that she knew how special she was on Mother’s Day.”
