Renee Zellweger and Hugh Grant hit the pink carpet at London premiere of Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy

Renée Zellweger looked sensational as she stepped out for the London premiere of Bridget Jones’s highly anticipated next chapter.

Her dress matched the pink carpet at the Odeon Luxe in London’s Leicester Square on Wednesday evening as she reunited again with co-star Hugh Grant for the screening of Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.

The pair smiled for the cameras as they reprise their roles in the fourth instalment of the series, more than two decades after they starred in the first film.

Zellweger wore a form-fitting bright pink bandeau gown with a mini train and black high heels. She was all smiles as she stopped to pose for cameras on the carpet before the premiere.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy marks the fourth instalment of the hit rom-com series based on the books by Helen Fielding.

It has been almost nine years since the last film, Bridget Jones’s Baby, was released and a lot has happened to the titular character in that time.

For starters, she is now a single mother-of-two following the death of husband Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) four years previously, after he was killed on a humanitarian mission in the Sudan.

The new flick will see Bridget navigate her responsibilities as a single parent and, after some encouragement from her friends, get back in the dating game with two new love interests vying for her affections.

Other actors from the film in attendance at the premiere in London included Leo Woodall, who plays her new main crush, Roxster, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Isla Fisher.

Married former Made In Chelsea stars Jamie Laing, 36, and Sophie Habboo, 30, were among the first to arrive.

Singers Beverley Knight, 51, and Jessie Ware, 40, were also sure to bag themselves an invitation to the hot ticket event.

Knight opted to make sure her arms weren’t cold as she faced snappers in a coat with elaborate sleeves, while Ware sported an attention-grabbing ensemble featuring a woman’s naked bottom.
