Woolworths product urgently recalled over 'undeclared' ingredient
An urgent recall has been issued for Macro Certified Organic plant-based milk sold at Woolworths after they were found to contain dairy products.
Food Standards Australia issued the recall for the Macro Certified Organic Unsweetened Coconut Milk 1L: with a best before date of 03/04/2023 and the Macro Certified Organic Naturally Sweet Rice Milk 1L with a best before date of 29/03/2023.
"The recall is due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (milk)," the recall read.
Macro Certified Organic Unsweetened Coconut Milk has been available for sale at Woolworths stores in Victoria only, and Macro Certified Organic Naturally Sweet Rice Milk has been available for sale at Woolworths stores in New South Wales and Queensland.
The products were available for sale between April 6, 2022, to April 19, 2022.
Customers who have a milk allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return it to their nearest Woolworths Supermarket or Metro Stores for a full refund, Food Standards Australia said.
Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.

"The recall is due to the presence of an undeclared allergen – milk – which has not been specified on the label," the press release said.
"The label also incorrectly advises the product is 'Dairy Free' and 'Vegan'."
The milk impacted by the recall was sold at Coles supermarkets, Coles Local and through Coles online in Victoria.
