Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez says Los Blancos have '11 finals' left in LaLiga – and claims they will be going for 11 wins as they aim to beat Barcelona to the title.

Madrid moved to the top of the table after beating Barca 2-0 in El Clasico on March 1, but dropped two points behind their fierce rivals after losing 2-1 at Real Betis a week later.

Football was suspended the following week due to the coronavirus pandemic and the remaining 11 rounds of matches will be contested in the space of just over five weeks when the competition is resumed on June 11.

"We have 11 finals left, that's how we see it," Lucas told Real Madrid TV. "Let's hope we can get 11 wins to claim LaLiga."

Zinedine Zidane's side return to action with a home game against Eibar on June 14, before hosting Valencia four days later.

"We are training hard for the return of LaLiga," Vazquez said. "The physical work is very important, as well as the mental aspect. I think we will arrive in good shape."
