American rapper Busta Rhymes has, if you excuse the pun, busted out of COVID-19 lockdown with a jaw-dropping weight-loss transformation that’s left his fans stunned.
The 48-year-old “Break Ya Neck” icon debuted his incredible full-body overhaul on Instagram over the weekend, revealing the huge physical changes he’s made through a strict diet and exercise regime.
Busta — born Trevor George Smith Jr. — shared a before-and-after snap showing how he turned his pre-transformation rounded belly and double chin into an impressive six-pack and chiselled jaw.
“DON’T EVER GIVE UP ON YOURSELF!!” he captioned the gob-smacking pic.
“LIFE BEGINS RIGHT NOW!!! MY DEDICATION IS DIFFERENT!! I WOULD NEVER PUT OUT AN ALBUM AND NOT BE IN THE BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE!!
“I RESPECT MYSELF TOO MUCH AND I RESPECT Y’ALL TOO MUCH!!! I’M ONLY HERE TO INSPIRE!!”
Busta made sure to include a shoutout to his ‘couch,’ celebrity trainer Victor Muñoz, who has helped him achieve his health and fitness goals.
According to TMZ, Victor whipped Busta into shape with gruelling full-body workouts three to four times a week — in one gym video Busta appears to be pushing more than 135kg on the bench press.
He also cleaned up his eating habits under the guidance of a personal chef, opting for lean meats and reducing his alcohol consumption ‘dramatically’.
The rapper’s stunning slim-down comes ahead of the release of his tenth album, Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God, which drops on October 30.
Busta’s followers on social media have met his new physique with praise and admiration.
“Incredible transformation... inspiring,” wrote one in the comments.
“My man been putting in work!! I’m beyond proud of you King!! Love you bro!” added another.
