Rape charges over Melbourne attack

A man has been charged with five counts of rape and other offences after a woman was followed from a Melbourne train station.

The 20-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on Tuesday and will face Melbourne Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Along with rape, he has been charged with false imprisonment, intentionally cause injury, make threat to kill and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

It's alleged he followed a woman from Broadmeadows train station about midnight on Monday and attacked her at a premises on Railway Crescent.
