Queensland job ad slammed for wanting Asians only

A job ad in Queensland has been slammed as racist after advertising farm work for Asians only.

The job for work on a strawberry farm, posted on a Bundaberg jobs page on Facebook, reads: “Our farm can work now only Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese”.

“If you are Aussie or European, please don’t contact me,” the ad reads.

Bundaberg Fruit & Vegetable Growers Group’s Bree Grima said the ad “clearly” breaches Queensland’s anti-discrimination act.

“And to us indicates perhaps an unethical labour hire contractor,” she said.

The ad has since been removed.

The person who posted the ad has apologised for the “misleading post”, News Corp reports.
