Truck driver killed in Brisbane crash

A truck driver has died after he veered into oncoming traffic, hitting vehicles and smashing into a bollard in Brisbane's north, with police investigating whether he suffered a medical incident.

The truck was travelling west on the East-West Arterial Road at Hendra around 12.45pm on Friday when it suddenly veered across to the eastbound lanes and collided with three oncoming vehicles before crashing into a concrete barrier.

Paramedics couldn't revive the 56-year-old man and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two drivers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
