The two potential Queensland LNP leaders

WHO COULD REPLACE TIM NICHOLLS AS QUEENSLAND LNP LEADER?

* DEB FRECKLINGTON - Deputy Opposition Leader

Deb Frecklington was elected as the member for Nanango in the South Burnett region in 2012. In May 2016 she became the deputy leader of the LNP.

Previously, she co-managed broad-acre cropping properties and worked as a lawyer focused on succession planning for farmers.

* JOHN-PAUL LANGBROEK - Former LNP leader

John-Paul Langbroek was elected as the member for Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast in 2004. He was the leader of the opposition from 2009 to 2011, and resigned when Campbell Newman announced his challenge for the leadership. Langbroek was education minister in the Newman government.

Prior to politics, Langbroek worked as a dentist.
