A man remains in custody after he faced court on the Gold Coast for the alleged murder of his estranged wife.
The body of Kym Cobby, 51, was found in the street by a member of the public about 300 metres from the mother-of-three's Worongary home on Sunday night.
Her husband Andrew Cobby was found nearby with non-life threatening injuries and charged the following afternoon with Ms Cobby's murder.
He appeared on Tuesday in the Southport Magistrates Court dressed in a hospital gown, where his case was adjourned to December 7.
Devastated family, including the victim's mother Olwyn Schulz, returned to the home Tuesday, while locals paid their respects outside, laying floral tributes.

"The moment Mrs Schulz saw the flowers she broke down in tears," resident Ron Nightingale said.
"Lucky she has support from other family members."
Ms Cobby, who had separated from her husband, suffered severe head trauma and died at the scene.
