Police close Qld car stealing syndicate

Police have shut down a car-stealing syndicate operating across Brisbane and southeast Queensland after tracking a stolen car to an auto-wrecking business that sold the vehicles on.

Out of 100 cars found at the Acaia Ridge site, on Brisbane's southside, 11 were identified as being stolen from Brisbane suburbs and the Sunshine Coast this year.

Three men aged 25, 30 and 32 have been charged and will appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on November 14.
