Dolls hanging by nooses, bullet holes left to terrorise mother at her Queensland home

A series of disturbing home attacks intended to scare previous tenants has left a Townsville mother and daughter living in constant fear.

Maree Rolfe and her nine-year-old daughter only moved into their new home in March, but their residency has so far been one nightmare after another.

As well a series of bullet holes through windows, the thugs responsible also used a small noose to hang an effigy on their back fence.

She claims neighbours told her that the former tenants had resolved all their issues prior to moving out.

"If you're going to send someone a death threat, you should probably check their address first? Clearly I'm not a spray painted black Ken doll," the fed up mother wrote on Facebook.

“We have had smashed windows, all shot with ball bearings, multiple nooses left hanging on the fence, including with effigies of a baby and most recently a dark man, and bullet shells left in the mailbox and thrown on the doorstep,” she added.

"If you know anyone that goes around shooting windows and leaving nooses on fences, can you please tell him ole mate he's looking for moved out months ago."

One of the windows smashed belonged to Ms Rolfe’s daughter, showering the youngster’s room with glass.

Fortunately the pair wasn’t home at the time.

“I soon realised the neighbours in my unit complex were very happy to have me there because the previous tenants caused a lot of trouble and police always had to come around," Ms Rolfe added.

Police say the Townsville mother is a victim of circumstance.

The terrified mum has now taken the desperate measure of pleading with the offenders on Facebook, begging them to stop attacking her home.

Local police said Ms Rolfe is not a direct target, merely a victim of circumstance.

Anyone with any information on the offenders should call the Mundingburra Police station on 4726 8666.
