Brisbane nanny killed at London Bridge narrowly avoided Manchester and Westminster attacks
The Brisbane nanny killed in the London Bridge attack narrowly missed the UK’s two previous terror incidents, her mother has revealed.
Sara Zelenak, a nanny who was working in London, was one of the two Australians killed in the weekend terror attack that claimed seven lives. The was South Australian nurse Kirsty Boden.
Ms Zelenak's mother Julie Wallace spoke of her shock on Tuesday as her 21-year-old daughter remained missing, before the family flew out later on Tuesday for London.
Ms Wallace confirmed on Facebook on Wednesday that her daughter had died from the terror attack.
She had told Brisbane radio station 97.3FM a day earlier that Sara had a ticket to the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, the site of last month's suicide bombing, and was also at Westminster Bridge only a day before that deadly rampage in March.
“The one with the policeman being stabbed three months ago, she was there the day before in the exact spot,” Ms Wallace said.
"The one with Ariana Grande's [concert], she was going to go to the concert [but didn't].
"Everything she has just missed."

The Brisbane mother said her daughter was last seen running from the London Bridge with friends – but they became separated in the panic. Working as a nanny, she had been given the night off so she could go out with her friends just hours before the attack.
Ms Wallace told of the “absolute terror” she felt when her daughter’s host family phoned to tell her the young woman was missing, following the city’s attack.
She said the family was counting down the days to meet her in Paris, months after she embarked on the “life experience” to work and travel in Europe.
“Horror, absolute horror," she said.
Speaking on 2GB, Foreign Minister Julie Bishop expressed her sorrow over the loss of "two beautiful young women" killed following the London attack, but did not disclose either woman's name.
Ms Bishop said in an earlier statement that the government was "deeply saddened to confirm" two Australians were killed in the attack but withheld the victims' names. Both families have confirmed their losses.
