In high spirits: Vodka pouch packed in daughter's lunchbox
A mother has made an online admission about mistakingly placing a vodka slushy in her five-year-old daughter's lunch box.
Before they made their way out the door, the Queensland mum asked her little girl to run to the freezer and grab a frozen juice pouch.
She did just as she was asked. It had juice, it had fruit, it just also had a healthy amount of vodka being a frozen Smirnoff sorbet punch.
Fortunately the school picked up on the little girl’s unconventional recess making for an interesting phone call from her teacher.
“They were very good about it lol. I made light of it (it was obviously innocent on my daughter’s behalf)," she wrote.
“I apologised for not sending enough for the teachers and they just laughed thankfully.”
The Facebook post was accepted in the manner it was intended and prompted some equally humorous responses.
“I just spat my wine out picturing the teacher’s face!” one Facebook user commented.
“My daughter’s teacher prob would’ve drunk it!” another wrote.
The "epic lunchbox fail" also prompted Internet users to share some of their own packed lunch failures, including cat food, cash in a zip lock bag and a slice of pizza packed with a spoon.
