'Crime does pay': Wanted armed robber mocks Queensland police with slogans on getaway car

Police in Queensland are searching for a distinctive sedan as part of their investigations into an armed robbery at a service station in the state's Fraser Coast region.

The car in the pictures released by authorities has memorable phrases sprawled across it, including the words "Cop Hunter" painted on the bonnet.

The slogan "Crime does pay" is written on the side of the car, and "Merry Christmas" is also penned on the vehicle.

Police have said a car entered a driveway to a service station just off the Bruce Highway at Glenwood at about 1.20pm on Wednesday December 21.

The car was parked near the petrol bowsers before the male passenger got out armed with a machete, entered the store and threatened two customers.

Police said the man ordered the attendant to put money in a bag.

The worker complied and the man fled the scene in the waiting car, according to police.

The vehicle does not have registration plates attached, but is described as a dark blue sedan which is possibly a Holden VN Commodore or VS Toyota Lexen.

According to authorities, the passenger of the car was wearing a dark balaclava, a short sleeved shirt and dark shorts.

He is described as about 175-centimetres tall with a stocky build.

The driver was wearing a yellow motorcycle helmet and a yellow high-vis long sleeved shirt.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen the vehicle or the men to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
