Hotel worker terrorised by masked man during armed robbery

A staff member at a Brisbane hotel had a terrifying late night encounter when a masked man came in and demanded cash.

Police said a masked man, armed with a knife, entered the property on Kedron Park Road at Kedron about 2.50am on Thursday and threatened a staff member.

CCTV camera footage shows the man waving around the weapon and threatening the worker, who moves behind the counter.

In another part of the video the offender seems to be confronting the employee near an ATM.

Police said the offender demanded money and staff member complied.

Officers said he fled with cash and was last seen leaving the premises on Kedron Park Road.

He was described as wearing a Halloween mask, black joggers, a black and white striped shirt and black jeans.

Police said no one was injured as a result of the incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
