In court on Monday, Reynolds begged Magistrate Jacqueline Payne to set him free.

“I’ll do anything to get out of the watchouse... I need to walk out of court,” he pleaded in Southport Magistrates Court.

But his worn out father was having none of it, shouting “No he won’t” to the bench before storming out of the building.

The Magistrate appeared to understand the father’s frustration.

“His father is probably heartbroken — at his wit’s end and doesn’t know what to do next,” she said.
