The blonde bombshell who holds a PHD in political science hit back at the Independent pollie, labeling his comments suggestive and "grubby".

Katter commented on Tamara Candy’s Facebook page that George Christensen, MP for Dawson, North Queensland, who previously hired her for as a policy adviser, “missed her” and would like her back “volunteering”.

“I think George Christensen would like you ‘volunteering’ back on the Dawson campaign,” Katter wrote.

“He tells me his misses you Tam.”

The Liberal staffer, who was previously hired by Mr Christensen to research Sharia law and is now working on the party’s federal election campaign.

Appalled by the comments, Candy responded saying: “Bob Katter excuse me, that is extremely sexist”.

She told the Daily Telegraph she was unsure why the MP put the word “volunteering” in inverted commas and was shocked a “man of such power” was trying to take her down publicly.

“It’s very grubby and sends a strong message about how Katter views women in the workforce,” she said.

“Foul and classless for an MP. If Katter was from a major party he would be forced to resign.”

In April, the Liberal staffer and academic spoke to 7's The Morning Show about being thrust into the spotlight when observers and online trolls started to criticise her revealing clothing, and defending her right to be herself and wear what she wants.
