Iron Maiden's 'Ed Force One' touches down in Brisbane

The band Iron Maiden has touched down in Brisbane in spectacular style in their very own jumbo jet.

'Ed Force One' landed on the runway around 3.25pm this afternoon to the delight of fans and plane spotters alike.

The band had travelled from Auckland on board the Boeing 747 which is piloted by the lead singer Bruce Dickinson.

The new Ed Force One is set to transport the band, 20 tonnes of equipment and the crew across six continents during the tour.

There are five capital city dates in Australia in May, with the first show being in Brisbane this Wednesday May 4.
