Aussie 'Dan Bilzerian' slammed for walking wife on leash
Photos that appear to show Australian tobacco tycoon Travers Beynon leading his wife around on a leash have sparked outrage online.
The Queensland millionaire has a cult following on Instagram and regularly posts photos of his lavish lifestyle, including extravagant house parties and extensive car collection.
But it seems his latest upload has gone a step too far.
The self-titled ‘Candyman’, who lives with his wife Taesha and four children in a luxurious $3.7 million mansion on the Gold Coast, has been heavily criticised after he posted a photo showing him leading his wife and another woman round on a leash.
He captioned the image: 'Candyman's interpretation of "Doggy Style."'
The photo of the women on their hands and knees has been slammed as ‘degrading and disgusting.’
But the former AFL player, who has been labelled the ‘Australian Hugh Hefner’, has been quick to defend himself on social media.
“There is one thing I cherish more than throwing the biggest and best parties... and that is my KIDS AND FAMILY,” he captioned a photo on Instagram on Tuesday.
“Our mornings are like everybody else. I am their PROTECTOR & PROVIDER. #wearesafewithourdad #rolemodel.”
Concerns have also been raised for the welfare of his children.
Beynon has two children with his current wife Taesha and two with former partner Ninibeth Leal, who was Miss World in 1991.
Numerous social media users have pointed out his similarities in appearance and antics to infamous US poker playboy Dan Bilzerian.
