Paul Burt presents all things beach, boating and fishing and weather for 7 News.

Paul first began his television career in 1996 as a presenter on Channel Seven’s Brownie’s Coastwatch. In 1997, he moved to Prime/Seven Gold Coast presenting daily boating, fishing and beach reports for News.

His passion for the outdoors began at an early age when he first learnt to fish on family holidays, and his appetite for this lifestyle has continued.

Paul’s first break into the media was in 1993 when working for his brother in fishing tackle stores he was approached by the Gold Coast Bulletin to write a weekly column about boating and fishing.

Since then his television, radio, newspaper and online career has thrived.

His other television credits include co-hosting Channel Ten’s national fishing program "Gone Fishin'" in 2000 and weekly fishing, boating and weather reports for Ten News at Five in 2001.

From 2005 until recently he presented weather, fishing, boating and surf reports for both Nine Gold Coast News and Nine News Brisbane.

Paul also presents daily reports on weather and water conditions for 102.9 Hot Tomato as well as Brisbane’s 4BH and other radio stations around the country.

Paul lives on the Gold Coast with his wife Elissa and their two young boys.
