A Gold Coast 'strip club' is no longer allowing their erotic dancers to fully strip.
Players Showgirls, in Surfers Paradise, was 'stripped' of its adult entertainment licence after it went into receivership six months ago.
According to The Gold Coast Bulletin, several customers have complained about not getting what they pay for - they are reportedly paying $50-$60 for five drinks and a private lap dance.
The business, however, fails to mention the stripper does not take all of her clothes off.
"They get you in on the drinks card and lap dance but you're not getting what you paid for. It was bit of a rort," one customer told News Limited.
"One of the girls even apologised to us. She said they weren't allowed to strip because of the licencing issues."
A liquor licencing spokeswoman confirmed Players had its adult entertainment status taken away, but said the business was in the process of having its full licence reinstated.
The situation has led to suggestions of false advertising, with the Office of Fair Trading encouraging anyone with gripes to make a complaint.
The Australian Tax Office had sought to close the business after its bill reached almost $1 million.
