Man denies threatening to kill Brownlee

A former Christchurch resident has denied threatening to kill Earthquake Recovery Minister Gerry Brownlee.

Stuart Meek, 40, who now lives in Waikanae, reappeared in Porirua District Court on Tuesday morning facing two charges of threatening to kill.

One charge relates to a threat against Mr Brownlee, while the other relates to an unnamed parliamentary employee, APNZ reports.

Meek pleaded not guilty to both charges. He was remanded until a status hearing next month.
