Psychic predicts lotto win
A Brisbane family who won more than $1 million in Gold Lotto on Saturday claims the win was predicted by psychics.
News Limited reports the family from Forest Lake, west of Brisbane, always believed it would win a large sum of money after several psychics and tarot card readers foretold the windfall.
"I've always had a sixth sense that I would win big in Gold Lotto," the mother told News Ltd.
"Several psychics and tarot card readers have confirmed this prediction over the years.
"I normally only play my lucky numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto but last week, I had a feeling that I should buy a QuickPick entry as well.
"I'm so glad I did as that was the winning ticket."
The winning numbers were 1, 15, 16, 21, 28 and 2 with supplementary numbers 35 and 40 with the family winning the top prize of $1.37 million.
It was the randomly-generated machine numbers that gave the family a win, instead of those chosen by the family.
Those sceptical among us might wonder how much the psychics said would be won and when it would be won.
Psychics can themselves become millionaires by proving their powers and taking up James Randi's $1 million challenge.
