Qld trio charged over five armed robberies

A man and two women have been charged following a spate of armed robberies over a two month period in the Queensland town of Ipswich.

A man armed with a knife allegedly committed five robberies at service stations and shops in Booval, Willowbank and East Ipswich since January 23, police say.

A 37-year-old Ipswich man, a 42-year-old Silkstone woman and a 19-year-old Silkstone woman have been charged with various offences, including armed robbery and drug possession, and are expected to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
