A woman will appear in a Brisbane court charged with stealing her twin daughters from outside their Queensland school four years ago.
The girls, from Townsville, were seven when they were allegedly abducted by their mother in April 2014 after a custody dispute.
They were found in hiding in Taree in regional NSW on Friday morning after an extensive joint investigation by Australian Federal Police and their Queensland counterparts.
The 46-year-old woman was extradited over the weekend and will face two counts of child stealing when she faces the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
Their father never gave up hope of finding his girls and used social media to keep the case in the public's mind.
Police said in 2014 that they did not fear for the safety of the children in the care of their mother.
