A Brisbane man critically injured after being struck by a car has died in hospital.
Police said the 22-year-old Stafford Heights man who was hurt in the incident in Chermside died on Wednesday evening.
Preliminary investigations suggested the man had been crossing north-bound lanes of Gympie Road about 3pm on Tuesday when he was hit.
Police are also investigating the death of an 88-year-old Caboolture man following a single-vehicle crash on Bribie Island on Tuesday.
The man was behind the wheel when his car drove across a roundabout and collided with a tree, leaving him with minor injuries.
But he died in Caboolture Hospital on Thursday and police are now looking into whether the injuries sustained in the crash contributed to his death.
