Four men have been fined more than $35,000 for their role in a black-market fishing trade in Brisbane.

The men, including two commercial fishers, recently faced Caboolture Magistrates Court on a total of 70 charges after a lengthy investigation by the Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol into offences committed in 2015.

The men are accused of selling female and undersized crabs, taking fish for which they weren't licensed, and failing to keep proper sales records.
