Puppy 'survives euthanasia,' has influx of adoption requests

A puppy has been given a second chance at life after a vet’s attempts to euthanise him failed.

Staff at an animal shelter in Iowa, US, were left with no choice but to begin euthanising dogs after their facility became too full.

Seven-month-old Rudolph was chosen however he miraculously survived, a Facebook post has claimed.

“God had a different plan because he woke up,” the post from the dog’s new shelter, King’s Harvest Rescue, read.

“And thank goodness the vet said he wouldn’t do it again.”

The no-kill shelter in the city of Davenport said they took Rudolph in hoping they would be able to find a new home for him after hearing his remarkable story.

They urged anyone interested in adopting the puppy to pay the “adorable young man” a visit at their shelter.

Hundreds of well wishers took to the post in hope Rudolph will find a loving home following his ordeal.

“That’s awful I hope he finds his forever home soon poor guy,” one user wrote.

“Thank goodness he gets another chance for a human not to fail him,” another said.
