The video shows two men running on a lengthy, blue dock floating on the ocean’s surface. A giant wave came rushing toward them, elevating the platform — but that doesn’t stop them. The first man rides the dock like a wave, while the second man leaps into the air.
The clip received over 26,132 likes on Sports Illustrated’s page.
“I sprained my ankle just watching this,” one person wrote.
“That’s too freaking cool,” another said.
“New kind of theme park ride!” someone commented.
The dock used in the video resembles a prototype created for surfers by Volcom. The segmented dock is malleable and contorts to the shape of the ebbing waves. Despite creating neat opportunities for tricks, surfers found the dock kind of scary.
“The dock’s been scary. At one stage I just came up, got my board, and saw it coming right at me. But I like the chaos of it,” a surfer said according to SB Nation.
