The Darryl F. Zanuck Award long has been considered a strong prognosticator for the Best Picture Oscar, with 15 of the past 20 going on to triumph at the Academy Awards. Last year followed the trend as the PGA honored Everything Everywhere All at Once, which took the Oscar two weeks later.

The episode TV drama category will be a race among The Crown, The Diplomat, The Last of Us, The Morning Show and Succession. Vying for the episodic comedy television prize are Barry, The Bear, Jury Duty, Only Murders in the Building and Ted Lasso. The anthology or limited series roster features All the Light We Cannot See, Beef, Daisy Jones and the Six, Fargo and Lessons in Chemistry.

The guild also has set the nominees for its PGA Innovation Award, which recognizes the production of a noteworthy, impactful emerging media program that significantly elevates the audience’s viewing experience.

The PGA revealed its documentary nominees and its sports, children’s and shortform hopefuls last month.
