Prince Harry's hilariously sassy moment with royal fan

He’s known as the cheeky chap of the royal family and Prince Harry showed off his sassy side while on his royal tour of Sydney with Meghan Markle.

The 34-year-old Duke and 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex were at Taronga Zoo on Tuesday morning to officially open the new Taronga Institute of Science and Learning.

However, Prince Harry jokingly appeared unimpressed when newsreader Matt De Groot tried to give his wife a massive bouquet of beautiful flowers.

“You can’t give flowers that big to my wife, what is that all about?” Prince Harry said, with a smile on his face in a video posted to Fitzy & Wippa’s Instagram page.

Meanwhile, Meghan seemed delighted that Matt had brought along the bouquet, saying: “Thank you for my flowers!” when she passed by him.

Later on Tuesday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry got a water taxi to the Opera House, where they watched a rehearsal of Spirit 2018 by the Bangarra Dance Theatre and did a public walkabout, meeting members of the public who had come out to say hello.

Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, young girl Sethunya Gibbons said she couldn’t believe it when Prince Harry came over and took a selfie of her with her idol.

“Meghan said she looked like me when she was younger,” Sethunya said.

“He took my phone and took a photo of me and Meghan together.”

Sethunya, who was wearing a top with the logo ‘Girls Can Do Anything’ emblazoned on the front, told her Meghan said ‘girls can do anything’ when she saw what she was wearing.

Another little girl called Dempsey, who held up a sign for hours waiting for Meghan and Harry to make an appearance, also got to chat with the Duchess.

“She looked really pretty and I gave her a bear, which was a koala bear and I told her that we have the same birthday as each other,” Dempsey told Yahoo Lifestyle.

“She said that’s really cool and she really liked the teddy bear.”

Their Sydney outings comes just one day after they picked the Australian city to announce that they are expecting their first child together.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” a statement from Kensington Palace read.

“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”

When it came to picking out names for the baby, members of the Sydney public congregated at the Opera House had their say.

Many told Yahoo Lifestyle they favoured the names Diana, Spencer or even Sydney.
