Amazon is launching Apple TV+ as a premium add-on within the Prime Video app later this month.
Apple TV+ content will soon become available on Prime Video in the U.S. via a $9.99 per month add-on, Mike Hopkins, Head of Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios, announced during Wednesday night’s Bloomberg Screentime event in Los Angeles. No specific launch date was revealed just yet.

With the subscription, Amazon customers will have access to all of Apple’s scripted content, as well as Major League Soccer and Major League Baseball sporting events.
“We’ve had a good partnership with Apple on a number of fronts…our companies do a lot of business together,” Hopkins said during the event. “I think what we what we offer channel partners is hundreds of millions of subscribers around the world that have access to their channels.”
Apple is one of more than 100 add-on options that Prime Video offers to U.S. subscribers, which allow viewers to get access to more content without juggling multiple subscriptions.
According to Amazon, Prime members will be able to subscribe to Apple TV+ directly through the Prime Video app, with no other apps — or cable — required. The subscription can be canceled at any time.
“We want to make Apple TV+ and its award-winning library of series and films from the world’s greatest storytellers available to as many viewers as possible,” Eddy Cue, Apple’s SVP of Services, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled that Prime Video will now offer Apple TV+, giving viewers an incredible breadth of viewing options.”
