Pregnant mum of two, 22, found dead in park just metres from home
A pregnant mum has been found dead just a day after she went missing.
Amethyst Killian, 22, was found dead at Old Towne Park, St Peters in the US state of Missouri on Friday about midday (local time), local news outlet KMOV4 reported.
Her mum told police Ms Killian, who was five months’ pregnant, had left the home on Thursday, which was Thanksgiving in the US, about 1am and walked to a petrol station.
Items belonging to the young mum were found in the area on Friday leading to the discovery of her body.
Her body was found just metres from her home, according to the St Louis Post-Dispatch.
Police haven’t revealed how she died, but believed it may have been a homicide.
The 22-year-old was a mum to five-month-old boy and a seven-year-old girl, another publication KSDK reported.
Neighbour Susan Brown told KSDK Ms Killian “seemed like a wonderful mother” and described the family as close.
Police are yet to arrest anyone in relation to her death.
