Revealed: The winning numbers of $150 million Powerball jackpot

The winning numbers of the record-breaking $150 million Powerball jackpot have been revealed as Aussies are urged to check their tickets.

Those vying for the life-changing prize will have to have the numbers 26, 4, 17, 5, 18, 8, 31 and the all-important Powerball number, 9.

The Lott said in a statement three mystery winners will share the massive prize, with two from Queensland and one from NSW.

The division-one prize jackpotted to $150 million after the $100 million prize failed to be scooped up last week.

The $150 million Powerball jackpot is the largest in Australian history and people wasted no time to purchase an entry ahead of the draw.

“Ever since the Powerball jackpot soared to $150 million after last week’s jackpot eluded players, Aussies have wasted no time securing their chance to become the country’s biggest individual lottery winner,” The Lott spokeswoman Lauren Cooney said ahead on the draw.

“We know many of our retailers have put on extra staff and are opening longer hours simply to accommodate the demand we’re seeing for this draw.”

The number of tickets being purchased continued to climb until the 7.30pm (AEST) deadline.

Last Thursday’s draw saw ticket sales in-store and online peak at 4.59pm, when more than 5000 tickets were sold in 60 seconds.

Ms Cooney said Powerball officials would be eagerly awaiting the results of Thursday’s draw and standing by ready to reach out to any registered division-one winners.

Australian lottery winners celebrate huge wins

The largest individual lotto prize ever won in Australia was $107.575,649.08, which was scooped up by a lucky Sydney healthcare worker on January 17.

Her windfall set a new record for Australia’s biggest individual lottery winner.

Thursday’s draw comes after a Chatswood dad won $96.04 million in the Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot last month – the second-largest lottery prize won in Australian history.
