Powerball draw jackpots to $60 million for February 10

UPDATE: Thursday night's $40 million Powerball prize has jackpotted again, with no division one winners this week.

The division one prize has now jackpotted to $60 million, with the eye-watering sum a result of four weeks of no major prize wins. It wasn't all bad news though; two division two players have walked away with a tidy $320,547 each.

The next Powerball draw will be held on Thursday, February 10.

EARLIER:

Brisbane winner scored $60m win

Powerball's January 6 winner took out the biggest prize of 2022 so far.

The Brisbane man aged in his 30s was floored by his win, saying it was "bloody unreal".

"I think anyone who gets hit with this info would think it’s surreal. It’s just unbelievable.

"There is a massive shock factor. You always daydream, but you never really expect it to happen. It’s a lottery after all.

"For me, it’s a lot to process. I just didn’t really expect it."

Powerball winner still plans to go back to work

At first, the man didn't believe he had taken out the top prize.

"I know you’ve confirmed it, but initially, when I saw this on The Lott app I thought this has to be a gee up or a glitch in the system. Surely I haven’t just won $60 million.

"I don’t think I’m going to get a lot of sleep tonight.

"It’s a lot to think about now. I know the money will help a lot of people.

"I can buy my first house, help family and friends and have plenty of holidays.

"I still plan to turn up to work in 2022 too."

The Brisbane man bought his 36-game QuickPick entry online.
