The NBA has announced that Monday's postponed game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Brooklyn Nets has been rescheduled for Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. CT at Target Center in Minneapolis.

The game was postponed on Monday in the wake of the police shooting of Daunte Wright, a Black man who was stopped for expired plates. The police-related death of Wright sparked protests around the city, and resulted in a 7 p.m. curfew and the presence of the Minnesota National Guard. The trial of Derek Chauvin, the police officer who has been charged in the death of George Floyd, has also been taking place in Minneapolis.

The decision to postpone Monday's game was made collaboratively by the NBA, the Timberwolves, and local and state officials, and the NBA said that the same parties made the decision to reschedule the game for Tuesday. MLB also postponed the Minnesota Twins' Monday night game against the Boston Red Sox, and the NHL postponed the Minnesota Wild's game against the St. Louis Blues.

ESPN's Malika Andrews reported that there will be no fans in attendance for the game.

However, the NBA has not confirmed whether fans will be allowed to attend Tuesday's rescheduled game.
