Notorious Porsche driver Richard Pusey has ranted about lawyers being “thieves” during a court appearance wearing novelty oversized sunglasses.

Pusey, who now identifies as a woman, outraged the Australian public after filming the aftermath of a horror crash that killed four police officers in April 2020.

The 45-year-old beamed into the Supreme Court of Victoria on Wednesday 13 minutes late, wearing novelty red sunglasses, an oversized bow tie, blue wig and an “I love Elon Musk” T-shirt.

For the past six months, police have had active warrants out for her arrest over two alleged breaches of court orders.

Pusey was jailed for 10 months in April 2021 after posting graphic footage of the April 2020 Eastern Freeway crash to social media.

She had been pulled over for speeding at 149km/h and was urinating on the side of the road when truck driver Mohinder Singh fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into the stopped cars.

Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King, First Constable Glen Humphris and Constable Josh Prestney were killed in the crash.

Pusey recorded the dying officers and complained about the Porsche being destroyed in what Judge Trevor Wraight described as “reprehensible conduct”.

Returning to court the following year, Pusey was again jailed after sending photos of the dying officers to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority in November 2021.

She had lodged a complaint with the authority after an insurance company had refused to payout a $2.2m claim for the Porsche.

Less than a month later, on December 30, 2022, Pusey lodged an appeal over that case in the Supreme Court.

But on Wednesday, judicial registrar Domenico Conidi threw out the case, saying in the 16 months since, Pusey had failed to progress the case.

“You have failed, to date, on six separate occasions to file a compliant affidavit so that the matter could progress,” Mr Conidi said.

“You have had ample opportunity to address this … As far as I’m concerned Ms Pusey, it ends today.”

“Please don’t misgender me,” Pusey responded before clarifying she was not sure if Mr Conidi had said Mr or Ms.

Pusey sought to blame the late appearance on court staff for failing to send a link to the hearing, to which Mr Conidi said he had reviewed the correspondence and was satisfied with the court’s communication.

Pusey claimed she had “tried” to comply with orders to file and serve an affidavit but blamed the delay on lawyers.

“Lawyers are thieves, they don’t do anything and they try to report me to police Your Honour,” she said.
