Popular Australian DJ dies while trying to help friend at luxury Bali resort

Popular Australian DJ Adam Sky has died at a luxury resort in Bali while trying to help a friend who had fallen from their private terrace.

The musician, whose real name is Adam Neat, is understood to have witnessed his employee Zoia Lukiantceva fall four metres from their private pool area at the Hillstone Villas Resort, south of Kuta, before rushing to help, Nine News reported.

When he arrived to his friend, it is believed he smashed into a glass door and suffered severe cuts to his arm which proved fatal.

He was discovered in a pool of blood on Saturday morning.

Authorities say alcohol was involved, the network reported.

The DJ’s official Facebook page confirmed his death on Sunday evening.

“It is with great regret that we can confirm Adam Neat was involved in a fatal accident while trying to help a friend who had suffered multiple fractures in Bali,” the post read.

Hundreds of fans paid their respects on his social media accounts as the news of his death broke.

“Devastating news. My deepest condolences to his family. Rest in Peace Adam,” one person wrote.

He is regarded as one of Asia’s leading DJs and has supported David Guetta and has shared the stage with several big name acts including Fatboy Slim and Paul Oakenfold.

The DJ, from Melbourne, has a sizeable social media presence with around 900,000 followers on Facebook.
