Ponders End shooting: Second man charged after victim left in ‘critical’ condition

A second man has been charged in connection with a shooting in Ponders End, the Met Police has said.

Dylan Weatherley, 19, of Beaufoy Road N17, was arrested on March 16 and charged a day later with conspiracy to murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

He is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court later on Saturday.

The charge relates to a shooting which took place in Derby Road on January 7. At the time, a 26-year-old man was sitting in his car when he was shot.

The victim was taken to hospital and remains in a critical but stable condition, the Met Police said.

Previously, police charged Resist Murat, 33, of Cornwallis Avenue, N9 with conspiracy to murder on February 5. He appeared in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on February 6 – his next court date has not been set.
