Police searching for three young women after Sydney school fire

Three young females with long, straight hair could have information about a deliberately lit fire that caused $10 million of damage to a Parramatta school last month.

NSW Police released CCTV footage on Monday of the trio walking along Charles Street near the school around the time it is believed the fire was started in the early hours of May 19.

The fire ripped through a heritage building at the old Parramatta Public School on Macquarie Street.

The blaze is likely to delay the 2019 completion date for the state’s first high-rise high school and multi-storey primary school on the site.

The heritage building was part of the new $220 million Arthur Phillip High School and Parramatta Public School project.

The building was not in use at the time and no one was injured.
