Police searching for man on the run from north Queensland prison
Police are conducting a desperate search for a man who escaped from a prison in northern Queensland.
Geoffrey John Campbell, 39, escaped the Townsville Correctional Centre Farm early on Sunday morning.
He was reported missing from the centre at about 7.20am, following a morning head count.
Mr Campbell is described as having a fair complexion, with light brown hair and hazel eyes.
He is about 175cm tall and has tattoos on his right shoulder, chest, arms and right ankle.
He has not been found, in spite of extensive patrols on prison grounds and the local area.
