Man helping police with inquiries after naked and bloodied 'assault victim' found on street

A man is helping police with their inquiries after an alleged assault victim was found wandering streets in Perth’s east naked and covered in blood.

It comes after a 52-year-old man was charged over the incident on Monday.

The victim, believed to be in his 40s, was found walking near the intersection of Orrong Road and Wright Street at Carlisle on Friday about 8.30pm.

On Tuesday morning, police made an appeal for public assistance in their search for a 30-year-old man who could assist with their investigation.

The man has since been located and “is assisting police with their inquiries”, a WA Police statement said.

On Monday, police charged a 52-year-old with harming an individual and depriving him of liberty.
