Police search for British woman who went missing in Poland over a week ago

Police searching for a British woman, last seen more than a week ago at an airport in southern Poland, have found her "safe and sound".

Ania Czopinski, 18, was spotted on CCTV around 11pm on 11 November at Krakow-Balice Airport and officers said she did not have a passport.

An image from video footage was released showing her walking through the airport halls with a wheeled suitcase and a handbag.

In a statement posted on Facebook, police added that Ms Czopinski does not speak Polish and her family have had no contact with her by phone.

When she disappeared she was wearing grey jeans with holes at the knees, a black jacket, and black trainers.

The Sun reports that Ms Czopinski, a former contender for Miss Teen Great Britain, went missing in August after attending the Leeds Festival.

She was later found safe and well.
