Police officers become viral hit after lip-syncing to Spice Girls

Two police officers have gone viral after filming an epic lip-syncing video from in their patrol car.

Officers Noemi Cienfuegos and Tycola Moses, who both work for the Laredo Police Department in Texas, filmed themselves lip syncing to a Spice Girls hit.

Officer Cienfuegos starts off singing No Me Queda Mas by Selena but her partner does not look too impressed.

“Oh, no. We are not doing that,” Officer Moses says.

“That’s not what I want. You know what I want?”

She puts her sunglasses on before Officer Cienfuegos breaks out into the ’90s hit Wannabe by the Spice Girls and Officer Moses then joins in.

The police department shared the video of the pair lip-syncing their hearts out on Facebook, telling followers: “You’ve waited long enough… So we’ll give you what you want”.

The video has been viewed more than 900,000 times since it was uploaded earlier this week. It also has more than 18,000 shares.

Many Facebook users praised the pair for their lip-sync showdown.

One woman wrote it was “good to know our officers have a sense of humour” and said it was “very nice” to watch, and thanked the police officers for “keeping our city safe”.

“Awesome,” one man wrote.

“Facebook needs more videos just like this to make the world a better place.”

But not everyone was thrilled with the pair’s antics.

One man wrote the two officers should not be singing and recording the video at work.

But the police department clarified neither of the officers were on the clock and one of them actually came in while she was on holiday leave.

“The other officer came in before her shift also on her own time,” police wrote.

“The patrol car was safely parked in a parking lot.”
