Police launch appeal over road rage incident

Police are appealing for information about a rage rage incident in Melbourne's inner west, which left a woman in hospital with a broken leg.

The 33-year-old woman had a verbal altercation with the male driver of a white Toyota C-HR wagon in the drive-through of a Seddon fast food restaurant about 9.20pm on Friday, police said.

Both she and the male driver left the restaurant before the woman stopped her car on Gamon Street, got out of her vehicle and went up to the Toyota.

The Toyota's driver drove forward and hit the woman before heading off along Gamon Street, police said.

The woman was taken to hospital with "significant" injuries, including a broken leg.

Police described the Toyota driver as Caucasian with a short black beard and a solid build.

He was wearing a black T-shirt at the time of the incident, they said.

Investigators urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
